It has become necessary for us to cancel the Adventure in the Hills event for this year. During the last few weeks we encountered increasing levels of insurance compliance issues. Unrelated but still having impacts were the effects of two devastating floods and follow-up heavy rains compromising the grounds.
It is our intent to reschedule for next year and begin shortly to work more closely with the Trail Life Home Office to insure compliances by early 2018. Improved high volume drainage will be done soon to mitigate the level of rains we are now encountering.
We certainly apologize again for the inconvenience and disappointment this has caused your troop, its leaders, and parents. We hope that you will consider coming next year when we will be able to serve you better.
